SPCR
Strategic Program for Climate Resilienc (SPCR) is a key process towards translating the main objective of PPCR to initiate transformation in the approach to development planning, budgeting and investments so as to include consideration of climate resilience. The Strategic Program will outline the Government of Nepal's agreed long-term vision to achieve a climate resilient development trajectory and a critical path to get there.
PPCR
Pilot Program for Climate Resilience (PPCR) is to help countries transform to a climate resilient development path, consistent with national poverty reduction and sustainable development goals. PPCR is a targeted programs of Climate Investment Fund (CIF) with dedicated funding to pilot new approaches with potential for scaling up. The pilot programs implemented under the PPCR will be country led, build on National Adaptation Progams of Action ( NAPA) and other relevent country studies and strategies, and be strategically aligned with the Adaptation Fund and other donor funded activities. PPCR will provide financing through multilateral development banks (MDBs). Asian Development Bank and the World Bank are providing a support to Nepal's SPCR Prioritisation Planning Process.
